Are You What, Who, You Think You Are?

Summary


Hello World, this poem means a great deal to me as I define myself through the words. I wrote those wends while dwelling within my truest self, not fearful of the judgment of others. Self-validation is important to your true self image, your ego. Have you ever sat in thought and wondered who you truly are? Many of us allow others to define our personality. So, from a psychological perspective, there is your conscious self, your unconscious self and the self that others perceive you to be. I ask you to discover your own understanding of your truest self, in spite of the opinions of others. I believe that is-where our truest happiness dwells. From the Greek philosophy of Epictetus, I leave you with these words, 'It is not things themselves that disturb men, but their judgments about these things".

Chasing women hoping to impress my next date, No Pull ups kept me off the block from pushing weight I must admit I have made mistakes There is one woman out there Who will tell you that my love was considered fake That was undergrad And if I knew then what I know now We would have had a marriage date Tomorrow will allow my thoughts to articulate themselves Into Earns of sweat That drip from my chin In between sets of physical stress They create words that my poems express ' Making way for this question that is mint to test Am I what you think?
