The Walgrove Health Summit on January 23 will feature: a healthy food choices presentation by Portia Jones from the American Cancer Society, a panel discussion on "Careers in Health" by students from Drew Medical University and exercise mini-camps on yoga, aerobics and dance.

On Saturday, January 24, at the Boys and Girls Club of Venice, 2232 Lincoln Blvd., Venice, CA from 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., the BHWC of The Links will host a free Health and Wellness Summit open to the public. Workshop topics include: " Keeping it on the Low/Weight Management and Blood Pressure," "Diabetes and You" "Cancer Awareness"; Alternative Healing"; and Alzheimer's - A Family Affair". Health fair vendors, health clinics, cooking demonstration and a free lunch will also be provided.

Using the American Cancer Society's curriculum Spring into Health, Links members work weekly with students discussing the importance of developing healthy eating habits, demonstrating how to measure and control portion sizes and teaching them about a variety of fruits and vegetables.
