Agape Center continues to celebrate its birthday throughout the month with festive and inspiring activities. "Prayers in the Wind" are unfurled in the sanctuary Friday, November 14th at 7:30 pm, and include a revelry of healing music and interactive prayer facilitated by Dr. Beckwith, Agape ordained miaisteis, licensed spiritual practitioners, and the 150-voice Agape International Choir and House Band under the direction of Dr. Rickie Byars Beckwith. The internationally renown Agape Choir recently performed the hit-single "If You're Out There" with multi-Grammy winner John Legend and the resounding "Yes, We Can!" with Legend and peerless songwriter singer, William, at the respective opening and closing ceremonies of the National Democratic Convention in Denver. The Choir, which has been invited to sing at CNN's "Hero of the Year Tribute" to be nationally televised Thanksgiving night, will anchor the healing of body, mind and spirit that "Prayers in the Wind" will offer via a vortex of sacred chanting, meditation and prayer. At 7pm Thursday, November 20th. Brother Ishmael Tetteh, founder and spiritual director of The Etherean Mission in Ghana and known as the "Mystic of West Africa," presents "The Cosmic "I": The Mystical Science of Soul Liberation and Empowerment," where individuals will learn to clear obstacles and get on the fast track to living a truly empowered life.
Saturday, November 22nd, in celebration of the 22nd Anniversary, "Agape Goes Global," as members of the community open their homes and establishments with a variety of "Theme Parties" including among others, "Reggae on the Water," sponsored by the Odyssey Yacht Charter, "Unplugged & In the Living Room," sponsored by Agape Songwriters, a "hot Single's Party," an "Artists Showcase" and a chance to "Ride with the Rev and Rickie" in a limo bus to dinner and entertainment at Shutters restaurant in Santa Monica followed by a grand tour of several Theme Parties.See the full content of this document
