'If These Hips Could Talk' Stars Billy Dee Williams and Robin Givens Through March 7

Summary


At the helm of the production is legendary actor [Billy Dee Williams]. Williams is one of the pioneers of African-American stage and cinema. He, almost single-handedly, redefined the African-American sex symbol, emerging onto the big screen as what many called, "The Black Clark Gable." Also featured is multi-talented actress, [Robin Givens], who garnered fame from the 1992 movie "Boomerang."

His numerous contributions to this industry did not stop in the 70s, Williams continued to be a driving force in African-American cinema through films like, "The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars and Motor Kings" (1976) and as the scoundrel Lando Calrissian in "The Empire Strikes Back" (1980) and "The Return of the Jedi" (1983). Most recently, he appeared opposite comedian Eddie Griffin in the hit film, "Undercover Brother." Williams is also an accomplished painter and author.

Robin Givens landed her first role on the hit television show, "The Cosby Show." Bill Cosby was very impressed with her performance and encouraged her to pursue acting. Givens' Ivy League education paid off when she landed a role in the TV series "Head of the Class".
