Summary
[Douglas L. Barry] has commanded some of LAPD's busiest Fire Stations in South Los Angeles, Port of Los Angeles, Los Angeles International Airport and the Wilshire Corridor. He has overseen the Management of Department discipline, Worker's Compensation, Wellness and risk management programs, and has served as liaison of the City Attorney's Office, LAPD, City Council and Mayor's Office. Chief Barry also provided leadership and oversight to the Fire Chiefs Planning section, Employee Relations Office and Community Relations Office. Chief Barry served as Assistant Fire Chief Marshal, managing the day-to-day operations of the Fire Prevention Bureau, which included inspections of high-rise and commercial buildings, and brush and hazardous materials.
Some of the ventures taken on by KBK Enterprises Inc. include: Helping to build "ECAR Inc.," the largest electric vehicle company in America; restructuring a number of Silicon Valley software companies advising the City Attorney's office, LAPD and DWP, as well as helping restructure the Sheriffs Department into a more progressive law enforcement organization. Due to his vast experience in management consulting and urban revitalization [Bernard W. Kinsey] was called upon to lead the rebuilding efforts of Los Angeles in his role of RLA, the revitalization entity formed after the 1992 Los Angeles civil unrest. Kinsey was responsible for regenerating more than $380 million dollars in investments from the private sector for inner-city Los Angeles. He influence investments in Los Angeles by bringing grocery stores, loan funds, pharmacies, hardware stores and other retail outlets alike including a number of small businesses into the heart of the inner city community. Kinsey has helped form the most effective post riot effort in the nation's history.
