Homegoing Celebration for Overseer Bishop David L. Tillman

Summary


He was later appointed President of the Youth and Presiding Elder of the United Church of the Living God organization; and subsequently, Pastor of the Los Angeles Church. In 1980, Elder Tillman was installed Bishop, 1993 State Bishop, 1995 Assistant/Presiding Overseer and 2005 Chief Overseer. Bishop and his faithful wife worked as a team in the ministry accomplishing great fears for God's kingdom.

Bishop loved to admire God's creations. He had a way with words that would call you to attention that totally amused you. He would say, "Be good, be careful, take care of yourself and have a nice day". That was his way of never saying goud-bye, but he blessed in your departure. When asked how he was, he would reply, "Mighty Fine". He was extremely loving, caring and full of compliments. He was a wonderful husband and father, always proud of his wife and children. He often preceded his sermons with praises for his family. He was humble, yet straight-forward, a good provider, kind hearted, loyal and faithful to all. He was friendly and known to say, "Come on in the house out of the weather." And, "Come on if you want to see the city".
