Brittani Moss is a sophomore and Ashley Johnson is a junior at Xavier. Kelly Burrell is a freshman at Dillard. Ms. Merelean Wilson, the NAACP Youth Council advisor and the president of Ladera Heights Top Ladies of Distinction, is very close to all of the youth in both organizations.
She was Ashley's mentor while she was a member of the Ladera Heights Top Teens of America. Brittani Moss is the granddaughter of the late Hal Kimbell and Mrs. Vera Kimbell, so Ms. Wilson has known Brittani all of her life. Kelly Burrell was an active dependable member of the NAACP Youth Council for two years.Members of both organizations were happy to contribute. On Sunday, Dec. 18, after the Youth Council meeting members of the Youth Council, Ladera Heights Top Ladies, Ladera Heights Top Teens, and Dr. Geraldine Washington proudly presented each of these young ladies with a $1,000 check.See the full content of this document
