Summary
"Mr. [Jamil]" is 7 years old, and is one of many African American children diagnosed with autism. Jamil's parents sought treatment for him after they noticed he had reached his "terrible two's" stage and hadn't been verbally communicating, had frequent temper tantrums, hyperactivity, and a short attention span. Since then, a closely monitored medication regimen, education for Jamil's parents, special education classes for him, and tons of love and support, have generated milestones in his life.
