Summary
The program will consist of patriotic and appropriate music for the occasion. It will begin with both anthems: the National Anthem, "The Star Spangled Banner" and the Black Anthem, "Lift Every Voice and Sing." The Southeast Symphony Chorus will perform the Roland Carter arrangement of "Lift Every Voice and Sing," "From Sea to Shining Sea" (a choral fantasy on "America the Beautiful"), and "The Battle Hymn of the Republic." An orchestral fantasy "Pavanne" by Maurice Ravel will be included on the program.
Ms. Lawrence said in a prepared statement that "Forest Lawn is excited that The Southeast Symphony and Chorus has accepted our invitation to again be our featured artists for this annual celebration."See the full content of this document
