Much like the characters in the play, Vanessa's career has been a journey of evolution and self-discovery that has led to roles in such acclaimed films as Daylight, What's Love Got to Do Wife It, Inkwell Crimson Tide, her film debut in Coming to America, and even a foray as co-host of the talk show Oh Drama, to mention a few. Vanessa has just completed a film project called the Obama Effect starring Charles S. Dutton and is the writer and executive producer of an upcoming new reality based show for TV One called Vanessa Bell Calloway:
