On Fox & Friends, [Steve Doocy] criticized the new president for scaring citizens with the realities of the economy and idiotically compared [Barack Obama] to Depression-era President Franklin D. Roosevelt, using as a negative contrast that president's famous line about fear: "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." Apparently, we also have to fear idiots because Doocy wildly misinterpreted the quote as well as Roosevelt's intent. Roosevelt also "scared" the American people with the reality of the economy when he ALSO said in the same inaugural speech: "We face our common difficulties. They concern, thank God, only material things. Values have shrunk to fantastic levels, taxes have risen, our ability to pay has fallen, government of all kinds is faced by serious curtailment of income, the means of exchange are frozen in the currents of trade, the withered leaves of industrial enterprise lie on every side...and the savings of thousands of families are gone. And he added: "Only a foolish optimist can deny the dark realities of the moment." FOX News is a scary network, particularly to have the likes of lying, hateful idiots such as Doocy. The American people need the truth-even if it is scary.
