The latest one people are flocking to is Twitter. The growing popularity of the micro-blogging site is proof positive that more and more people are embracing new media tools to communicate. According to a recent 2008 Pew Study, 46% of African Americans are online, compared with 43% in 2007. For those connecting with friends and interesting folks via Facebook, Myspace and LinkedIn, they're finding it a very useful way to stay in the know. And with increasing numbers of Blacks in Los Angeles moving out to places such as Palmdale, Riverside and Santa Clarita, it becomes critical that news and information be disseminated at warp speed by whatever means are available.
