Willis D. Collier Passes Away

Summary


Mr. Collier was born in San Angelo, Texas, August 25, 1929. He was approaching his eighth birthday. After graduating college in West Texas Mr. Collier entered the U.S. army and served during the Korean conflict. He received an honorable discharge and moved to Los Angeles in the early 1950"s to begin a most colorful career. Collier married the late Alma J. Ellington and to this union, one son, Willis D. Collier, III was born.

Funeral services for Willis will be Monday, August 17, at 11:30 am at the Pacific Mt Olive Church of God in Christ, 1385 East 21st Street and Naomi. Viewing will be 10:00 am until 11:30 pm. Viewing will also be on Sunday, August 16, 2009 from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm at Angelus Rosedale Mortuary, 3875 Crenshaw Blvd, Los Angeles, CA. Condolences may be sent to the family at the Angeles Funeral Home.

Early on, he recognized that the road to success requires a strong faith in God and belief in ones own strengths and abilities, continuous self-development and an irresolute focus and determination.
